Intro
Welcome to another rip-roaring episode of the podcast. The Beadalong has cast on and you are welcome to join in.
Enablers’ Corner
This week I am enabling you wholeheartedly to Felt-Ed Kit Club 2016. This is a 12-month club (although you can try for one month in January if you would like) where each month, your receive a different felt project through the post. These boxes are accompanied by a worksheet and video tutorial.
It would be a great gift for kids or indeed a way for adults to try wet felting and learn techniques around that. It is also a good way to entertain kids on rainy days and can be done by almost any age group.
Review of Lace Knits by Ann Kingstone
Spoiler: I really like it.

I was thrilled to be given a copy of Lace Knits: Magical Methods for Openwork Knitting by Ann at Yarndale to have a look at for review. I give a good run down of the different patterns on the podcast as well as my strengths and weaknesses.

Good things – excellent techniques section (45 pages) which is clear and easy to understand. Feels like each project have been designed to maximise learning value with variety of different techniques built in. Suitable for a beginner, with more complex projects included to allow a challenge for seasoned lace knitter. Plenty of mohair!

Not as good things – this was really hard as I couldn’t find any. If pushed, I would say that I wouldn’t knit all the projects, which is a personal taste thing rather than it being the case that they are not pretty.
You can buy a copy of the book at Ann’s website.
