Intro
KnitSpinCake’s Aimee is back at the mic. You can find her shop at Harbour Yarns. Also, tickets for the Great London Yarn Crawl go on sale 1st July 2015. Will you be there? All proceeds from the crawl go to Refuge.
Enablers’ Corner
I’m on Periscope. It’s a social media video streaming app. It’s quite good fun. Be warned, it’s also a massive rabbit hole.
Retro Perfume Review
Who knew this kitschy segment would be so wildly popular? Thanks to everyone who has been forthcoming in suggestions for reviews. This week it’s all about Exclamation by Coty. Another banging Coty 90’s scent.
The Sock Surgery
Just because it’s summer, it doesn’t mean you need to stop knitting socks, and Clare Devine would get a tattoo to prove it! We’re back with another inspiration segment about how to keep that sock knitting going when the weather starts to hot up. You can read Clare’s take on it here. Also, see the review that Clare did for Tangled Yarn on Noro Taiyo. Clare also has a Summer sale on.
Wrap-Up
That’s all from me this week. As always, thank you for listening. Feedback is always appreciated, and you can email me or message me via Ravelry or social media. If you enjoyed listening today, please consider leaving an iTunes review, to help others find the podcast too. Happy crafting!
Fab episode as per usual and great to hear a bit about summer sock knitting. I was doubtful for a long time about taking needles in hand luggage, but have now had several flights with small circulars and socks. and that was on easyjet! Always a good idea to put a lifeline in though just in case. Right, I’m off to find my nearest Danish forest…
Haha thank you! I feel I am missing out on some Danish forest action too. Will you be joining in the summer socks?
hmm yes after the joy of sock madness I was a bit sick of them but now I think i need that new sock feeling in my life again! I do like Taiyo but havn’t made socks with it (it’s also insanely expensive over here) but i love regia’s cotton cascata (wool cotton blend). I havn’t come across many other types of sock yarn though- would love to hear about others!
