Intro

Welcome to the first podcast from the north of Scotland! The move went well and I am looking forward to exploring my new surroundings. if you’re not familiar with Pontoon, you can find out more about it here.

Check out the new blog, Isla of Axholme, with some great articles about knitting and other things.

There’s an exciting new announcement about a Podcast Lounge by Louise of Knit British, in her latest podcast, episode 10.

Giveaway

Louise Tilbrook of Louise Tilbrook designs has very kindly donated 3 copies of her latest shawl pattern, Autumn Crocus. To enter, you need to leave a comment about your favourite Louise Tilbrook design in the Autumn Crocus giveaway thread in the Shinybees group on Ravelry. If you have any questions about any of Louise’s patterns, or you just like a chatty Ravelry group, check out Louise Tilbrook Designs.

Wippin’ Piccadilly

The #lushpodkal is ongoing until 14th September and I am making steadier progress than I had planned. Also on the needles was the Tooty Frooty socks in the Desert Vista Dyeworks “Fruits of Summer” colour way from The Golden Skein. Always listen to what Sock Queen Clare Devine tells you.

Finished object-wise, we have Bea’s In Threes, which is the In Threes: A Baby Cardigan pattern by Kelly Herdrich. This was knitted in Drops Karisma.

Interview with Victoria Magnus of Eden Cottage Yarns

I had the great pleasure of interviewing Victoria, the dyer behind Eden Cottage Yarns, at Unwind Brighton, back in July. She candidly talks about the start of her business, how things don’t always go to plan and what you need to make a go of it. There is absolutely no way I am putting a link to any of “Sticky Vicky”‘s performances from this website. You can google if you aren’t familiar, but be warned, it’s for adult eyes only.

You can find links to all Victoria’s social media channels and her blog at Eden Cottage Yarns.

Wrap Up

That’s all for this week, thank you very much for listening. Please feel free to get in contact an give me your feedback, I love to hear from listeners. iTunes recommendations are always very gratefully received. Happy crafting!
